The Ranger is a very versatile knife... a hunting knife, a bushcrafting knife, a utility knife, it can handle most small to medium-sized tasks with ease.
The combination of a thinner blade with a Scandi grind allows the Ranger to not only handle woodworking tasks well but slicing chores too. 12C27 (E steel code on blade) Sandvik stainless steel was used to provide superior rust resistance and edge holding ability. The spine is sharpened square making it easier to throw a spark when using a firesteel for making a fire.
The handle is bead blasted for superior traction in all conditions and give it a matte, non-glare finish for staying subdued in the woods. Blind Horse Knives stayed with their proven attachment system of fish eye bolts and 2-ton epoxy to seal the scales to the blade. The handle is long to provide a solid, four finger hold which allows you to really work the blade when needed. A large, brass lined lanyard tube rounds out this simple yet effective knife.
The sheath is also hand made by Blind Horse Knives in their own shop. They use vegetable tanned leather hides, heavy duty thread, and hand rolled rivet tubing.
