Product Description
The Bark River Colonial Patch Knife is a re-creation of the Small Knives carried by folks who used Flintlock and Percussion Guns with Patch & Ball. The knife was used to trim the patch after the ball & patch were seated into the end of the Muzzle of the Rifle or Musket. This type of knife was usually carried on the Possibles Bag and evolved into a small general Purpose Utility knife that ultimately was also used for general Small Tasks in addition to trimming the Patch. -- A very handy knife that is capable of handling a variety of tasks. -- The new production Colonial Patch knife now features a 52-100 carbon steel blade instead of 12C27 stainless steel which was previously used. -- A deluxe leather belt sheath is included.
