DPx HEST™/F 2.0
An update to the original DPx HEST folder: stronger and lighter with many user suggested improvements.

The new eagerly awaited DPx HEST/F 2.0 is the updated version of the sold out DPx HEST Folder. The DPx HEST/F was developed as the direct folding version of the DPx HEST fixed blade knife and was dubbed the 2.0 because there were a number of significant modifications made to the original design of this brutal-use folder. The goal was to increase strength without adding weight and to directly address concerns about ease of opening, strength of lockup and usability.

Modifications include:

1. Removal of the stainless steel liner and addition of a thicker G10 scale which reduces the potential for corrosion and also strengthens the knife while reducing the weight.

2. Subtle geometry changes to the pivot, lock point, thrust angle, thumb stud and heel angle. Each of these changes was designed to make the knife easier to open, strengthen the lockbar and allow the knife to open more smoothly.

3. Increased the size of the heel, length of the back spacer and the width of the frame to further increase the strength of the DPx HEST/F 2.0.

4. Increased the cut hole for the thumb screw and scalloped the inside of the lock bar.

5. Redesigned the pocket clip and removed the two holes to create a stronger clip.

For the first time the brutal, rugged feel and performance of the DPx HEST fixed blade has been engineered into a hard use frame lock folder. The D2 Tool Steel folder comes with a solid titanium alloy frame, Rotoblock adjustment, removable glass breaker and a collectible Mr DP adjustment and multi tool. After a global search the firm of Lion Steel was selected to manufacture this knife based on their long heritage of quality and award winning solid titanium folders.

The DPx Hostile Environment Survival Tool / Folder is designed and made for hard use in hostile conditions with a lifetime warranty to registered owners.
