Solingen, Germany is considered by many to be the knife making capitol of the world as there is a rich history of knife makers there. Some of the knife companies that were located in Solingen have gone out of business over the years but Puma continues to produce world class knives, just as they have done for over 239 years.
One of Puma's specialties is producing knives with genuine Staghorn handles. They have been acquiring, curing and hand carving Staghorn for over 200 years and needless to say, they are masters of the craft. All blades are hand forged or laser cut from solid bars of premium D1.4 steel and Rockwell tested for hardness. Puma craftsmen use over 150 hand operations for each knife that they produce.
